This safe is tested and listed as a California Department of Justice firearms safety device that meets the requirements of California Penal Code Section 12088 and the regulations issued thereunder. Stack-On Elite safes are tested and verified to be fire resistant for 30 minutes up to 1400˚ F by ETL-an independent testing lab. Door stripping expands when exposed to high temperatures, sealing the safe's contents from harm during a fire. The Elite series has 4-way locking and 1.5" live action locking bolts -up to 10 locking points. Large, all steel, 3-spoke handle rotates to extend and retract live action locking bolts while reinforced steel doors are filled with fire retardant material, creating a protective fire wall.
